This article is all about a village in the UK. For the front yard inside Staten Island, New York, USA, see Grasmere, Staten Island. For the hamlet of Grasmere, British Columbia, Canada please see Grasmere, British Columbia.

Grasmere occurs as village around central Cumbria in the north of England, and is as well a title of the adjacent lake.

Grasmere's position in the centre of the English Lake District has made it popular as a tourer destination.

A town is overlooked per little bumpy hill of Helm Crag, popularly known as 'A Lion & a Lamb' due to the shape of rock formations in its summit.

William Wordsworth lived in Dove Cottage, in the hamlet of Town End, touching Grasmere, from either 1799 to 1808 [http://www.wordsworth.org.uk/].

Beside a church (in which W.W. is buried) lies a sole shop in the globe selling Grasmere Gingerbread.
